We’ve all been waiting not so patiently for the return of our favorite musical dramedy since the moment it was stolen away from us last November.

The months have passed at a glacial pace, but the return of New Directions is almost here. New episodes begin April 13th, but to quench your Glee thirst in the interim, check out this awesomely awesome new promo that hit the Internets earlier this week.

Lea Michele, I adore you. Jane Lynch, you slay me. And Melchior Gabor himself shows face for the first time in this clip. Remember, he (Jonathan Groff) will be playing Rachel’s new love interest. He also happens to be Vocal Adrenaline’s lead singer. His character’s name? Well that would be Jesse St. James, of course.

I fully expect his character to dabble in porn at some point. I mean, how couldn’t he ? Jessie St. James??? Simply amazing.

Sorry, the Glee hiatus is still happening. That’s not the good news.

The good news is that Broadway goddess, Idina Menzel, is in what appear to be very advanced negotiations to guest star on Glee for the remainder of the season. Feel free to squeal. It’s totally natural. Read the good word here.

Although most Gleeks have been hoping Elphaba herself would appear as Rachel’s biological momma – I mean the resemblance is ridic – it appears Miz Menzel will be joining the cast as the coach of McKinley’s High’s biggest show choir competition, Vocal Adrenaline.

We already knew Jonathan Groff was signed on for several episodes this spring, but this is the true cherry on top of an oh so sweet sundae.

And for those of you that like spoilers, full versions of music from tonight’s SECTIONALS episode is below. Yes, it’s true. Sectionals (featuring a Shelly Sharkson #1 hit) is finally here. I may pass out from sheer shock. Check back tomorrow for my ::gulp:: final Glee-cap of the year.
